The 8 DON'Ts of a Job Interview

Hello My Lovely Readers,

Today I want to share some very useful tips which will definitely help you in your job hunt.

I happened to have an interview at a very flourishing company "Logicose" - A company which is very good at developing the most in a very short time; the day before yesterday and believe me after all the preparations I did, all was in vein the moment I sat in front of the interviewer.

When I came back home, I was feeling sad for my stupid behavior during the interview because I had already passed the test and now the interview was the last assessment for my job.

Then I started thinking deeply on the matter of interview and finally after almost a day, I have found some helpful DON'Ts which can easily and successfully slip you through the tough interview round.

I would like to share them with you for your future reference.

1. Arriving late for the interview.

There is no excuse for the interview tardiness. You should strictly plan in advance for the traffic jams and other logistical obstacles and should leave for the interview way ahead of your actual appointment time and reach the office at least 15-20 minutes early. Then use the bonus time to review your preparation materials.

2. Dressing unprofessionally.

You should dress according to the culture of country in which you are. Also keep in mind that body piercings and tattoos can be distracting to some interviewers, so you should limit them as much as possible.

Plus take good care of your personal hygiene. No one likes a ill-looking employee in their team.

3. Behaving disrespectfully.

Whether it be a person at the door or at the reception, the human resources professional or any other employee passing you in the hallway, you should always mind your manners through each interaction because everyone with whom you come in contact is definitely a potential influencer to the decision-maker.

It is to note that this point doesn't apply to the interview day only, but it does apply to any other day; you should always meet and greet people happily with a smile on your face.

4. The most common mistake you can make during an interview.

Not organizing yourself beforehand.

No matter how hard you try or how many hours you allocate for a good thorough internet search, you are still vulnerable to make big mistakes like I did after many hours of deep thorough study of the company profile.

What you have to prepare is how you will answer the questions i.e. organize information in a way that you can speak clearly and concisely plus learn to handle the situation when things go awry. Your interviewer will definitely be impressed that you went the extra mile.

5. Talking Too Much.

There is nothing much worse than talking on and on and on ... The interviewer really doesn't need to know your WHOLE life story. You should keep your answers succinct, to-the-point and focused and please don't ramble, just answer the question directly.

Plus instead of asserting your personal style, focus on what's important in the situation i.e. a dialogue that can convinces a hiring person that you will contribute selflessly to the company.

6. Not being a good listener to your interviewer.

Remember, everyone loves a person who is a good listener.

If you don’t really listen to the questions your interviewer is asking, you won’t be able to respond to them properly. You should make sure that you put on your ‘listening’ cap as well as your ‘speaking’ cap. If you don’t listen up to your interviewer, you are pretty much sunk !

7. Do you have any queries ?

Don't come up empty when this question is asked. And don't give a "deer in the headlights" look, shrug your shoulders and ask anything from your thoughts at that moment. Because if you don't ask any questions, it may appear as if you're not interested in this job which in actual is not true.

8. Forget to say thank you.

At the end say a big "thank you" in a warm manner which can demonstrate appreciation for the interviewer's time because it was their greatness that they actually called you for an interview and remember manners matter a lot, always.

A new addition to the royal family of United Kingdom – Baby Cambridge has finally arrived!

People’s princess – Diana France, the first wife of Prince Charles, who died in a Paris car crash in1997, gave birth to ‘baby Wales’ 31 years ago, a royal heir, Prince William on 21 June, 1982 at 21:03 BST. At the time of birth, the boy weighted 7lb 1½oz.

The son of Charles, Prince William is second in line to the British throne married Catherine Middleton in April 2011. Here is a photo of the glorious princess and the handsome prince.

Since then everyone was expecting that the royal couple will start their family life soon and when the royal couple announced baby news on Dec. 3, 2012, with the following statement: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news." Buzz has been building ever since.
The first months of her pregnancy were difficult and she was even hospitalized in December suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a dangerous type of morning sickness that left her weak and dehydrated.

On a fine Monday morning on 22 July 2013, the Duchess of Cambridge with Prince William, was brought by car from Kensington Palace to St. Mary's Hospital’s private ‘Lindo Wing’ in London before 6 a.m. BST when she was  in the early stages of labor.

They entered the hospital quietly from a side door, avoiding the journalists who camped outside. Officials did not even announce that she was hospitalized until more than an hour later.

The son of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was then born on 22 July 2013 at 16:24 p.m. at central London’s St. Mary’s hospital's private Lindo Wing, where Princess Diana gave birth to William in 1982 and Harry in 1984. He is the couple's first child and weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces (3.8 kilograms) at the time of birth. He is third in line to the British throne.

But, as the world media gathered outside the Lindo Wing filled hours of airtime with speculation, the baby boy’s birth went unannounced for almost four hours, allowing the royals the private time they needed to act like a regular family.
In line with royal tradition - A car carrying the announcement drove from the St. Mary’s Hospital to the Palace, where the news was greeted with shrieks of “It’s a boy!”
Later, the Queen's Press Secretary Ailsa Anderson with Badar Azim placed an official document to announce the birth of the future king on an easel in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.

Champagne bottles popped and shouts of “Hip! Hip! Hooray!” erupted outside Buckingham Palace as hundreds of Britons and tourists from all around the world broke into song and dance outside the gates of Buckingham Palace as officials announced that the future king was born.

Outside the hospital, a man dressed as a town crier in traditional robes and an extravagant feathered hat shouted the news and rang a bell. Here is a photo:

Prince William, who was by Kate’s side during the birth, spent the night in the hospital and the way the birth was handled gave the royals a bubble of privacy even in the age of 24-hour news broadcasts. The royal couple and the baby prince are expected to spend much of their time in the coming years at Kensington Palace, where Prince William and Prince Harry also spent much of their childhood.
The impact a newborn baby prince had on the world:
London Eye, London Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square lit up in ether blue for a boy or the national colors of red, white and blue, and the city had a party atmosphere unmatched since the summer Olympics.

Gun salutes by royal artillery companied to honor the royal birth and riders in uniform trotted past the palace to Green Park, where six field guns fired 41 blank rounds.

The Royal Mint has minted 2,013 silver coins bearing a shield of the Royal Arms, to be given to newborns who share their birthday with the baby Cambridge.

Niagara Falls in Canada, parliament buildings in Ottawa and the CN tower in Toronto were also lit blue for marking the birth of the future king. In New Zealand, 37 landmark buildings were lit blue in celebration.

Reaction of the popular personalities at the birth of a royal heir in the U.K.

1. Royal doctor Mr. Setchell described the new addition to the royal family as "wonderful baby, beautiful baby."
2. Prince William said that “I and Kate could not be happier to welcome our first child.”
3. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were "overjoyed" at the arrival.
4. David Cameron, British Prime Minister made a brief statement outside 10 Downing Street, saying:
“I’m delighted for the Duke and Duchess now that their son has been born. The whole country will celebrate. They’ll make wonderful parents.”
5. Barack Obama, American President said:
“Michelle and I are so pleased to congratulate The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the joyous occasion of the birth of their first child. We wish them all the happiness and blessings parenthood brings.
6. Stephen Harper, Canadian Prime Minister was very welcoming at the news of the birth and said:
“The arrival of a future sovereign of Canada is a highly anticipated moment for Canadians given the special and warm relationship that we share with our Royal Family.”
 
It’s to note that Canada is the first ever country to send a formal invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to bring their baby Cambridge to Canada to enjoy some quality time.

The newborn prince made his first ever debut on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St Mary's hospital, a little over 24 hours after being born, as the duchess was discharged around 19:15 p.m. BST.
